OfflineGPT is designed with privacy as its core principle. Unlike most AI and translation applications, OfflineGPT processes all data entirely on your device. Your conversations, translations, and personal information never leave your phone.
Data We Do Not Collect
OfflineGPT does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your conversations with the AI assistant
- Text you translate using the app
- Images captured for camera translation
- Voice recordings used for voice translation
- Your location data
- Personal information or identifiers
On-Device Processing
All AI processing, translation, speech recognition, and image analysis happens locally on your device. We use advanced on-device machine learning models that do not require an internet connection to function. This means your data physically cannot be transmitted to external servers because the app does not make network requests for its core functionality.
Data Storage
Any data stored by OfflineGPT (such as conversation history or saved translations) is stored locally on your device only. This data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including encryption and biometric protection if enabled. You can delete this data at any time through the app settings or by uninstalling the application.
Third-Party Services
OfflineGPT uses a small number of third-party services for analytics and crash reporting. None of these services have access to your conversations, translations, or any content you process with the app.
Website Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
Our website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (e.g., which pages are visited, which download buttons are clicked). This is opt-in: analytics only load after you accept cookies via the consent banner. If you decline or ignore the banner, no analytics data is collected. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser cookies.
App Analytics (Firebase Analytics)
The OfflineGPT mobile app uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as which screens are visited and which features are used. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you. It does not include any content you translate or chat about. This helps us understand how the app is used and where to focus improvements.
Crash Reporting (Sentry)
The mobile app uses Sentry to automatically report crashes and errors. Reports contain technical information such as device type, OS version, app version, and the stack trace of the error. They do not contain your conversations, translations, images, or any personal content. This data is used solely to identify and fix bugs.

App Store Information
When you download OfflineGPT from the App Store or Google Play Store, those platforms may collect certain information according to their own privacy policies. This is handled by Apple or Google respectively and is outside the scope of this privacy policy.
